This article outlines the scenarios in which missed stops can and cannot be reprocessed and linked to their route plans.
There are instances where a stop is flagged as “missed” even though the trailer visited the location and met the requirements for it to be recognized as a valid stop. Below are the scenarios where routes can be reprocessed and linked, as well as cases where they cannot be reprocessed.
Scenarios Where Missed Stops Can Be Reprocessed
1. Manually Created Routes
If you have confirmed that the trailer completed the route and you have manually created the route, but the stops are still appearing as missed, please contact our Support Team for further investigation . Please make sure that the below details are included in the ticket:
Route Name
Route Start and End Date
Trailer Linked to the Route
2. Stops Showing as Missed Even When the Trailer Visited the Location
If the trailer visited the stop but it is still marked as missed, verify that the trailer met the minimum stop time required for the stop to be recognized as valid. You can verify stop durations in the Route Data. Minimum stop times vary per DC (e.g., 5, 10, 15, or 20 minutes).
If the stop did meet the minimum required duration, please contact our Support team
for investigation.
Please make sure to include:
Route Name
Route Start and End Date
Trailer Linked to the Route
Any logs from your telematics showing the time spent by the trailer on the route
3. Stops Not Displaying Temperature Data
Sometimes a stop, often the final stop, does not display temperature data, causing it to appear in the missed stop report.
In this case, you may adjust the route’s end time to five minutes after the original end time (e.g., if the route ended at 10:00 AM, update it to 10:05 AM). This usually allows the temperature data to populate and removes the stop from the missed stop report.
If the stop still appears in the report after adjusting the end time, please submit a ticket. Our Support team will then reprocess the route.
Scenarios Where Missed Stops Cannot Be Reprocessed
1. The Driver Did Not Visit the Stop
If the stop is marked as missed and the route data shows no GPS evidence that the trailer visited the location, this means the driver did not go to that stop. In these cases, the missed stop cannot be corrected.
2. The Trailer Did Not Meet the Minimum Stop Requirements
If the trailer visited the location but did not meet the minimum required stop time, the stop will still be tagged as missed.
For example, if the minimum stop time is 15 minutes but the driver stayed for only 14 minutes, the stop will not be recognized as valid.
Even if the route is reprocessed, the stop will remain missed. You can verify stop durations in the Route Data.
3. The Route Ran Outside the Route Plan’s Time Range
If the trailer ran the route outside the route plan’s scheduled time range, the route cannot be reprocessed, and the stop will remain marked as missed.
You can confirm this by comparing the route’s actual start and end times with the route plan’s time range.
For example, the route’s actual time is November 11, 6 AM – 12 PM, while the route plan’s scheduled time range is November 11, 1 PM – 6 PM.
If you find that the route meets all the requirements for them to not have missed stops, please reach out our Support team for investigation
